Another Zebrano resin kit in 1/35 scale.   The three stars on either collar denote rank of zugsfuhrer (sergeant).  The 87th regiment was another one with a major portion of recruits coming from Slovenia,  the recruitment center based in the town of Celje.

First rate! I especially liked the way the ‘trench’ broke the plane of the field.

Marvelous shading and shadowing!!  A beautifully renedered subject.  Not enough attention is paid to the Austro-Hungarians of WWI.

Great figure painting and groundwork. Extra kudos for the fine presentation! Love the base and display.

Looks like he's got a GEW 1888 Commission Rifle. You don't see those that often. Fantastic work overall!Beer

Very nice figure and very nicely presented. Yes

Thank you all for the comments.

plasticjunkie - not sure of the exact make of the rifle (no description nor instructions with this kit) but when doing research on the K.u.K., the standard infantry weapon was the M95 Mannlicher rifle.

Yes, it also looks like it could be the M95. Again, great work Beer.
