Wargaming Miniatures
Posted by Orkork on Thursday, July 21, 2011 2:50 PM

Hey Guys! I was just wondering if any of you modelers out there build any type of wargaming minatures? Whether it be Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, D&D, or anything along those lines where the miniature would be used for a game. I've tried searching the forums but I haven't seen any.  There's got to be some people out there who build them. I'd love to see what kinds of neat stuff people have built.

Here's a sample of some of my stuff:

Warhammer 40K: Chaos Terminator Lord

Warhammer Fantasy: High Elf Warlord on Dragon

Warhammer 40K: Ork Stompa

I dont have the patience for the smaller onces, even just to look at their detail, to much of a strain, but those larger ones you have there are VERY nice!

Nice work there.

I'm also a role gamer, but I tend to only indulge the non wargaming purposed collectible stuff. And over the years, I rarely get around to painting them. I'd be happier if they were sold pre painted and NOT as collectibles like the way Wizards did it.

As such I have recently converted over to using tokens. Easier to store and no burden to paint them up. Not as thrilling to wargame with, but then again, I am also a board game wargamer, and that means I prefer counters to minis at any rate.
