...........The most use I've been able to make of camouflage decals is as a painting guide. There may be some people who can cut decals to cover pockets and fit around rounded areas but I'm not one of them. It is easier to paint..................I'm currently painting a digital camouflage pattern on a Trumpeter logistics supply team set.. I done loaded picture of parts of the uniform, pants shirts and the like,  from websites of retailer that sell one to one scale uniforms  to use as a painting guide.  I'm using a  fine pointed brush, triple "O" or smaller, and it is a good idea to think in terms of short straight lines instead of the curves of conventional camo. ..................To apply the smallest patterns  I'm using the narrowest end of a flat head tooth pick. I've used this technique to apply  the "fly specks" on first Gulf War chocolate chip camouflage. This time, instead of tiny circles I'm applying squares.................Finding what  the exact FS color standard for the universal  digital pattern is. Sand, medium gray and medium green seems to be closest to the photos. Polly S paint is the best since it is dead flat................So far it seems to be working.

1/35 Trumpeter German ISAF & KSK Commandos

Hello all,
Two questions, here...
First,
I recently bought the Trumpeter 1/35 scale German ISAF force & the German modern KSK Commandos military figure kits. Each of the kits have come with large sheets of camouflage "decals" (presumably for the uniforms). I am wondering if any one has used these decals before and if they actually were successful in transferring them onto the figures/body armor/packs. It doesn't seem that you would be able to get the decal to adhere to the many different poses... bent legs/arms, etc, as well as, the curvature of helmets.
Secondly,
I have painted the camouflage uniforms on my figures in the past, but now with the advent of the new digital camo patterns many of the elite modern forces are using, my attempts at these "tiny" digital patterns have ended in disaster. Has anybody been successful in painting these digital patterns and if so... HOW?!?!

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
--JIM--
