A friend dropped by at my workplace one day, asking if I'd be interested in painting this native Indian bust. It was something different, so I said yes, with my price being a list of artist acrylic paint tubes required for the piece.
Not sure of the scale, but it stands a little over 16 inches in height. Also unknown is the sculptor, but seams indicate this is a cast of an original. The medium is pretty brittle, like plaster, and scratches and chips very easily. The tip of the hawk's beak is missing a bit as is the bottom part of the foremost feather. The pics presented here were taken just after finishing painting. I will have to spray on some sort of protective fixitive before handing back to the owner. Thanks for looking.
regards,
Jack
