Floquil Question
Posted by jackball74 on Thursday, September 8, 2011 10:15 AM

I was wondering if anyone had used the railroad enamel primer on Conte plastic figures. I noticed the bottle said appropriate for most plastics.

Good Morning,

I use Floquil on most of my models and just love the stuff. If you spray light coats and stay away from heavy ones you should be just fine. I use floquil to cover models when I use resin, photo etch, aluminum, plastic and other materials. Use a well ventilated area because the fumes will get to you.  Have fun.

I read somewhere that Floquil Engine black is great as a primer too.

Is your RIP OB caption at the bottom about the store that was in Miami off NW 36 st?

Thanks for the tip - and yes, that's the store.  I still feel hollow thinking about the day I drove up and found the gates locked.

Glad to help. I loved going to OB and spent hours looking thru all the tons of stuff they had. Loved to talk to Charlie and Pat over in plastics. Sure miss that place.Crying
