Resin on Resin
Posted by Banshee1000 on Monday, September 19, 2011 10:35 PM

I'm working on the resin kit Angel Rebirth, and there's quite a bit of filler necessary.  Usually I use Bondo or Tamiya putty, but I read a post where a person used resin from the Alumilite kit for the seams.

Has anyone had experience with this?  I'm intrigued, but I don't know about the long term adherence or any other problems.

Thanks for your help.

Any fine grained epoxy putty will do. Milliput, Aves, Apoxy sculpt, even plumbers epoxy putty form the hardware store. Most will give you plenty of time to work them and they can be smoothed with water before they cure. Once cured, they can be sanded and painted like the rest of your kit.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
