I have bought from them. They make some nice stuff, and it doesn't come cheap. but plan for a lead time of months (6 last time I used them) to the US due to the postal service. I am not sure if the slow is on the French or the US end.
Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?
thanks guys
Hasegawa and Fujimi make some great modern USN and USAF stuff in 1/48. Eduard and ICM have a series WWI and WWII sets of various nations. Lots of resin stuff out there: Verlinden, CMK, Ultracast... And as said above, most of the old Monogram, now Revell aircraft come with figures. Look at their C-47 and Ju-52- paratroopers rigged up "in the harness" just begging for a pre jump diorama. My spares bin is full of related 1/48 figures.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

redwing...why is it that kit manufacturers don't produce these figures?...
Sales. They sell more in 1/35th or 1/72nd, the more popular scales.

There was a sea change back in the late 80s or early 90s, as the quality of kits had improved, on the road to where we are today. There were more modelers who were very comfortable building an airplane, or a tank, but who were daunted by the prospect of painting a figure. So, you saw more and more newer kits, without them. And aftermarket manufacturers jumped in, to fill the gap for those who wanted figures.
The classic Monogram kits have figures, of course, and Tamiya has some nice figures with their aircraft. ICM also does, and they produce sets as well, some of which are now sold by Revell.
Eduard makes some nice sets; here is a link to the 1/48 page in their catalog:

CMK also has some 1/48 figures, USAAF aircrew, if I'm not mistaken. Try their website and have a look.
Hope that helps!

The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
