Hello Folks,

Today I'm posting a very proud work.  However, It is not the work on mine, but my girlfriend Jen's work.

This is her FIRST time painting a large scale face.  It is all done with acrylic with the exception of lacqure flat coat and gloss of the eyes.  She manages to depict scar on the lip, freckles, crow's feet and wrinkles.  As I'm a veteran of 20 plus years in plastic modeling, I'm astounded by her attention to details and patience.  I'm quite excited for her and hope she will continue to enjoy plastic modeling.  If you gents and ladies have any feedback to help her, we will be greatly apprecaited.

That's awesome work, I like the point cullminant in the eyes.

I may not be reading the photos right,

but here's an idea; a tiny drop of clear acrylic to coat the retina of the eye ball, like a true lens.

I would experiment on a blank before mucking up that great work.

Each artist figures this out themselves, but if you get it right the whole piece comes alive.
