Incredible Shrinking Man

I need to ask you figure people for some help.

I'm not into small figures and dont really know where to start looking or what to look for.

Basicly I need a male figure that is in the range of 2-3 inches or about 64 mm in size. Do standard figures come in something close to these sizes? Preferably in some type of attack or defensive pose. I realize I may have to do some modifications to the figure.

I'm looking to build a diorama similar to the following.

The figure doesn't have to look just like this one but it would be nice.

I already have the spider but need the figure.

The closest scale you will find is 54mm or 1/32, 1/35 is a little smaller, but close.  These stand about 2".

If you want to try a little sculpting, the best thing I can suggest is getting Andrea's 54mm Mannequin.  I've never tried it, but it might be easier than carving up a ready made figure.  And of course you can create any pose you want.  Only drawback is the figure comes with shoes and is not barefoot.

Jack

Some of the contemporary toy soldier makers make figures around 60mm in size, which you might be able to use as a starting point.  King & Country and Del Prado are two that come to mind.  You can find them on eBay, and should be able to get bargains, if you've got the time and are patient.

That site you posted shows up on my PC as a viris and was blocked.

You might want to run a check on your PC.

not really a 'defensive' position, but maybe something to consider.
