Russian Medics?
Posted by KindKiwi436 on Friday, January 20, 2012 1:14 PM

Im making a diorama about the Russians, and I need one in a medic-pose. Were there Russian medics, and what did their uniforms look like? did they also not carry weapons?

Any help would be great.

I have read in some of the accounts of the war by Soviet soldiers that many of the medics were female. As for uniforms etc, I can't say.

Zvezda does a 1/35 Soviey WWII Medics set.  It includes two stretcher bearers carrying a wounded comrade and a female medic comforting another wounded comrade.

ICM also has a set that includes a female medic.

Thats perfect. Ill use that as reference material while painting, cause the Zvezda figures are unfortunately quite a bit smaller than their Tamiya counterparts.
