most of my tanks are WWII German, with some Russian and British. So I think skin tone with tundra environment. And I can always tone it darker with tanned look, so just general skin tone to start with will do the work, along with tonning color, shade/shadow color, hair color and lip color will do the work.

Thanks,

joey

Vallejo actually does make paints labelled as skin tones, so can't get any simpler than that.

In keeping with their site they also have a tutorial for painting a face:

All easy to find on the net, rattlesnake would of bit you.  Wink

Is there any particular nationality or look you'd like to have about them? It makes a bit of a difference on the climate the vehicle is in (a tank crewman in the desert would be more tanned then one in tundra for example)

Hello all, I have never paint the figures supplied with the kits, but recently I like to give it a try. Can some one help me to pick the color from Vallejo just to start for skin? I understand this question is too broad but i just need to know what basic colors to start for basic skin color, skin toner, hair, eyes, lips. Pleae provice color code and usage as I am totally new to this. And how about some thread in here with extensive description about this subject.

thanks,

Joe
