I'M LOOKING FOR AN ARTICLE FROM FSM ON PAINTING FACES WITH ENAMAL PAINTS...I'VE BEEN CHECKING MY COLLECTION AND CAN'T SEEM TO FIND IT. I'M THINKING THAT IT HAS TO BE FROM 2006 OR 2007....DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER?

How To Paint & Weather Scale Models, “Easy aircraft figures”, by Rafe Morrissey (May 2007 - July 31, 2007)? But it was acrylics, not enamels.

hmmm....I think that I looked through that one and that's not it...in the one that I'm looking for, the guy painted U.S. Army soldiers and I think German too, both in 1/35 scale... I remember him saying to paint figures bodies acrylic but then paint the faces enamal...it was a good article and I got some of my present technique from it...

Thanks for looking!   Big Smile

October 2009, page 48 and 49, is the article " 5 Steps to Paint Fantastic Faces." Author Jim Welcher uses Model Master Wood, Tan and Italian Brown along with oils to paint a US tankers face.

I hope this is the article you are looking for.
