enamel or acrylic???

 What type of paint is best suited for painting and detailing faces (1/35 scale)? Are there any pros and cons to either using acrylic paint or enamel? What i've learned so far is, if you mess up with acrylic paint, u can just was it off and start over. I do think enamels would go on smoother though.

I do base-coat of color with enamels, but use oils for shading and highlighting..  I prefer Testor's MM Radome Tan for Caucasian faces and Testor's Rubber for Negroes..

From what I've read its oils and acrylics. I dont recall anyone from recent times using enamels, except as a base coat.

I recently purchased Alex Castros book on painting skin using acrylics. Pretty amazing work. Took almost 6 months to find it at a reasonable price.

I do my base coat in acrylic then use my artist oils for blending. Oils are really easy to work with and are great for blending. They take longer to dry but then it gives you plenty of time to work.

For figures, I like to use acryiics.  Here is an example:
