Newbie to Figures

I'm looking for some How To articles related to painting faces on 120 mm figures.  I'm always impressed when I see many of the figures posted or in FineScale Modeler.  Any body have some insight on where I can find such articles.

John,

There is a book in the latest FSM about figures....  Scale Model Figure Handbook (or something like that),,,,  page 18. Inexpensive too,,  $19.00

You can always check out YouTube as well,,,,   how to do most anything is available on that site.

Best of luck

Enjoy the ride!

Best use the “Search our Community” first, then ask a question. (33 items items for “"120 mm" AND figure”.) Don’t use the Forum “E-mail addresses” window for questions!!! Use “Search our Community” (a page down).

Occasional factual, grammatical, or spelling variations are inherent to this thesis and should not be considered as defects, as they enhance the individuality and character of this document.

Here's one of the world master painters at work. Marion Ball is the painting half of the husband and wife team of Alan and Marion Ball. He is a master sculptor and had created figures for numerous companies in various historical periods. She has painted much of the box art for these figures as well as others.

The quality doesn't get much better. Watch the video, you'll get colors to use, as well as techniques she employs to get where she's going.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Amazing to watch an expert at work. The figure seems to almost  transform into something real as you watch. Its like magic

When I try something like she did my work looks like that of a 5 year old girl who trys to put makeup on just like mommy does. When I do the lip shading it looks like Sarah Palin's lipstick on a pig. .
