Best Vallejo paint set for German figures
Posted by Tankluver on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 1:20 PM

Okay, I got Ospreys How to paint Fallschirmjager, next I will buy Ospreys book on Waffen SS model painting, but besides the point. I am wondering what is the best paint set, or sets to buy so I can adequately paint faces and camouflage?

If you are flexible, I would go for LifeColor German Infantry Uniforms paint sets #1 and #2.  They work just great like Vallejo.  I use them on my figures now.  For flesh, I bought a great Flesh Set from Vallejo.

Set #1 is good for basic German uniform colors.  Set #2 is perfect for camo uniforms.  Like I said, they worked great on my figures since I used those sets.

Why limit yourself to only one brand of paint?  Try three or four and see what you like.

I take it the panzer aces set is only for tank crews, or is it also for regular waffen and fallschirmjager figures?
what are some other good companies that produce paint sets. Does Vallejo paints already come with out the gloss or do you still have to add some laquer to get rid of the glossy shine
