Not only impressive, but you've managed to capture the SS camou colours beautifully!

Super job James! I've always found acrylic paints easier to work with than oils too, I just need a good bit more practice with them though. Wink

JTRACING

thanks!, I wasn't sure with the white pants, I was trying to keep them from turning grey from shading lol, I could always add a filter of a light brownish tone to them.

you got a nice group of dudes there, the Alpine figs are nice but a bit pricy I got this one cause it was on sale lol

for paints I use these. just craft paint.  sometimes I use some oil color but just cheap paint there to.

I use this one brush for everything. its a #0  I picked it up at my local hardware store even cheap brushes work well just gotta take care of the tip.

Very impressive work, especially using basically $1 a bottle craft paints and probably a brush w/ nylon "hairs". Acrylics tend to give good results if you know how to use them.  They are crisp, blend well and tend to dry with a nice, flat sheen...they also clean up easy after mistakes...

Just goes to show that it isn't always the tools and supplies but the person who has the most control of the outcome...veeeeery nice figure painting here...YesYes

So you just eyeball everything and mix your own colors? Surprise

That, unfortunately, is a skill I do not have! Crying

ALPINE figs are the best!  Outstanding job of painting!!!  My only critique is that the white camo pants look very stark, especially compared to the rest of the fig...I usually go with an off-white or light grey when I do snow-camo. These things got dirtied up quickly in the field and they weren't white for very long...

I painted the exact same fig (far right):

What types of paint and brushes do you use?

Griffin

Nice work JT - oil washes again?

thanks, I dont do any washes on figures. I just paint in lines with a good pointy brush I find it looks better and you can add in wrinkles or creases that are not molded there.
