1/35 French Foreign Legion

Look up ADV Azimut, a French company that has plenty of French subjects in their line up. If you want to test your conversion skills, look at some of the old Heller figure sets that were re issued by Testors. They will need new heads (Hornet has good specific sets) and equipment, but the weapons and uniforms will work for French (or even Israeli) 1950s or early 1960s era soldiers.

thank you for the suggestion, would the WWII french army uniforms work, I mean after a little conversion. The Uniforms from indochina kind of remind me of dragons 2nd armored division figures, the camo ones 

I'm not real informed on the uniform specifics, but from the pictures I've seen, at least in their combat gear; the Paras look alot like US troops of that period. Also for some reason the unis always look really baggy, probably due to the extreme conditions they were under.

Canteens and web belts very similar.

Of course the small arms are different, MAS carbines, rifles and burp guns.

Yeah the paras look like there wearing the 2nd armored division camo from 1944. The only kit out there for indo china is from warriors, im going to order it to get a good idea of the uniform

Well the US equipped the French Army in the last half of WWII, so much of the uniforms and equipment used in Indochina was of US origin. The HBT "leopard/frog" camo fatigues worn briefly in Normandy by 2nd Armored Division were also used in Indochina by French forces. But The French also used their own "lizard" pattern camo uniforms there as well, the Heller/Testors figures would be good for those. But the boots used by the French were their own style and they did not use the US canvas leggings. Web gear was either US made or French made of the same design. Weapons are in most cases going to be of French origin.
