Hi all,
I am in the process of building a 1:64 scale model ship, Jotika/Caldercraft's HM Yacht Chatham. I am going to model her in full sail with crew on deck, but am struggling to find a suitable source for the figures.
I picked the model specifically because it was 1:64, and I have done a lot of modelling in the past with games workshop figures, which are built on a 28mm scale. Having held a couple of Empire militia men up against the deck of my Chatham, I am now well aware of some of the variations in scale!!!
What I am looking for is a good source of high quality varied figures, in metal or plastic, actual 1:64 scale (which works out between 25 and 28mm tall). The figures should look like they are from the 19th Century, and as a bonus could look like sailors (bare feet, nautical hats, etc etc.) I am happy to do a fair amount of converting and adapting, so any ideas you might have will be considered...
Cheers all!
Tom
