70mm Mountain Man
Posted by ajlafleche on Friday, October 19, 2012 11:24 AM

Here is Art Girona’s 70mm metal casting of a Mountain Man from the 1830’s. The kit consists of three parts, musket case and right hand, body and base. He is posed with custom groundwork on a base by John Jeffries (Birch Tree Enterprises). Painting is almost entirely Vallejo acrylics.

Always good to see another figure from you! Nice work there on the shading to keep all that leather from turning into a big mass of tan. And the red and blue bring a nice dash of colour to the figure. And the base looks great and complements the figure nicely. Great all around work, plus I love how the MM looks- I wouldn't mess with him.

Thanks, G. I had to keep a written list of the base colors so I wouldn't get confused.

Again another brilliant figure, the coat and trousers along with the gun case are very convincing as hide nice groundwork but overall brilliant and convincing.
