Lemax (Dept 56) figures
Posted by mitsdude on Sunday, March 31, 2013 2:08 AM

I've been looking for almost a year for a dog and a young girl figure to use in a diorama.

Searched all the usual places but could not locate anything even close.

Last week I was cleaning out my storage shed and came across a box of Lemax Halloween village figures.

Inside I find a dog and a young girl!!! Perfect!

These would probably work for something in the O to G scale range or about 1/24 ish.

They are made of a hard ceramic like material which makes modifying difficult. I did separate their feet from the base for the look I wanted.

The figures tend to be of "average" people as opposed to military or warrior types.

Lemax also makes many accessories that could also be used. I've used their light sets in several of my models.

I'm not saying these are the best solution but if you are having problems locating a particular figure its worth checking out.

Good thinking! I've used dollhouse items for dios too, it's worth checking out the whole craft store - you never know what you'll find!

I've bought some dollhouse shingles, siding, flooring and furniture but I've not used them on anything. These were with the clearance "junk" at Hobby Lobby several years ago.
