Thanks mitsdude. I saw those too, but its hard to tell how accurate they are from the small pics. I guess what turns me off is the "hooded" heads. I was thinking of just sanding the folds off, but was afraid to make it too small. What did you think of them?
Thanks Bish. I saw that kit, but I hate to have to buy the whole kit just for the figures. But they do look the most accurate judging from the pics.
Airfix Astronauts item #01741.
I bought these several years ago because I thought they were pretty cool looking.
They are not styrene but a toy soldiers/cowboys-Indians soft-pliable type of plastic. Vinyl maybe?
The only ones I could find were this set by Caesar Minitures. Theres only 3 figures and it comes with a small spacecraft, so not sure if that will be of any use.
This is their web page with the set on it, not sure where you would find it where you are.

On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
I am building an older Airfix Apollo moon landing and the "astronauts" look like something out of a black & white, low budget sci-fi show. Does anyone know if there is anywhere to get realistic astronauts in 1/72?
Thanks!
