                        Can someone give me information on a manufactuer of horse figures? In addition to my modeling (WWII aircraft) my son and I raise American Paint horses. I've acquired some skill with the airbrush and I would like to model some our favorite horses. I'm looking for something along the lines of the Breyer horses, but I don't want to pay the cost of a Breyer horse just to paint over it . They're a little pricey for that. Any ideas?

                        I'm not sure what scale you are looking for but here are some suggestions: 1) the old "visible horse" kit is still available (I'm not sure of the scale, and I think it is a Revell-Monogram kit). 2)DML produced a few kits in both 1/35 and 1/16 scales with horses. I'm not sure of their current availability though. 3) Historex makes a kit in 54mm (about 1/32 scale) with parts to allow posing the horse. I hope this helps a little.

                        Check out the Michigan Toy Soldier website. THere are a couple of companies that produce horses. Some are just the horse others will include tack and harness. I've seen them there from 1/35 to 200mm.
