Nice links there Pawel. I have yet to move into chopping and changing pars from different figures, but I think its defiantly the way to go to get the pose you want. I am having trouble finding a radio operator for my 251 build and I think I may try that idea

Hello!

Like Bish wrote, it's better to cut and replace. Please take a look at my build reports here:

and here:

where I show how I did it, I hope it helps you. Good luck with your project and don't forget to post photos! Have a nice day

Paweł

Heating the limb may cause the arm to curl up. I wouldn't recommend it. For instance, try heating one of the spare sprues. You'll see it curl and misform.

You could do but it might not look very good. What I do is cut the limb off. I then use a piece of wire to join it back, the wire can be bent to et the angle you want and you may have to trim away some plastic to keep it in proportion. You then need to use some filler to fill the gap and this needs to be shaped to match the surrounding clothing.

Its a lot easier than it sounds. If you think you might need to do more of it, I would recommend this book if you can get hold of it.

Move limbs on figures

As a rookie in model building I have a question.  Can figures be heated and move limbs?  I will be building helicopters and want to change the arms and/or legs of the crew.  Can I heat the figures an place the arm/legs in a different position?
