I was going to subscribe to one of theses magazines but i couldnt make up my mind which. I can get modelers resource for half the price of kit builders. I just wanted to get some opinions to help make my decision. thanks

Tough one, heard both good and bad things about the mags over on "Gremlins in the Garage" some of those guys are involved with the mags.

My best advise would be to try to get hold of an older issue of each and check the contents careful, sorry, can't help more the mags are not available over here.
Personally, I try to stay away from subscriptions as most mags have a lot of contents/issues that I am not interested in and only buy the mags with articles I am after.

Replicant(it is a Mook actually) being the one exception as it is more of a catalog of kits that were released in the last quarter and has generic building articles and interviews.

I've been getting Modeler's Resource for several years now and Kitbuilders off and on for a couple of years. Both have their points. Originally I was less then thrilled with Kitbuilders. The quality of the mag was a bit less then. Recently the magazine has been taken over by a new publisher and I've picked-up a few issues to check out the changes. It looks promising so far. Much improved. Modeler's Resource has been a good magazine, but as of late I haven't been finding it as enjoyable. It seems the issues (IMHO) are devoting more and more space to movie news, behind the scene special effects/production articles, music news (music to build models by) and less articles to model building and kits. In fact, I have been considering droping it from my buying list. I've been judging it on a issue by issue basis. For figure kit building I recommend "Amazing Figure Modeler" magazine. I have never been disappointed by any issue.
