1/35th figure sets you would most want to see released.

I'm thinking about sets of figures by Meng, Masterbox and DML if they ever decide to do something from this century.

My choices.

1 A modern set of mechanic figures and equipment.

2  Non zombie post zombie apocalyptic figures.

I'm sure some of you can come up with some others.

1. WW I Soldiers in gas equipment.

2. Soviet cold war tankers on parade (siff salute, headgear buttoned down, driver looking straight ahead with a facial expression of being forced to swallow a toad, etc.)

3.  Post war tank crew from the less modled nations like Britain, France, West Germany, Sweden, Middle East, etc., in the tank, NOT standing outside smoking cigarettes or playing infantry.

Some good choices there SP & G.

I'm thrilled to the release of more European civilian figures but would really love to see some Asian civilians as well. Plus a few more off the wall Asian militaries.

1). Korean civilians Korean War vintage.

2). Chinese civilians Second World War.

3). Japanese civilians Second World War (ok, I'll admit use here would be pretty much limited to post-war occupation or Operation Downfall).

4). Nationalist Chinese troops Second World War both regular and partisan.

5). Filipino partisans Second World War.

3. Phillipine Scouts and guerrillas, Corregidor/Luzon, March 1942.

Having a Accurate Armor 1/35th U-boat in the stash, can sure use a few dozen Kreigsmarine crew members.

How about some sets of SeaBEEs? Like a WWII, KW, VN, 80s & 90s sets? That might be a little too specialized. So, US troops in M-56 gear. Some Marines in 1961 782 gear, too. And some MP, SP, AP figuges across the span of 60s, 70s, 80s, & 90s. would be nice. Of course, since I'm wishing, some USN personnel would be nice.in that gamut of 60s to 90s, too--catch the changes in the "crackerjacks, to the "bus drivers, to the chambrays back to crackerjacks.again.

Here's a question from a ship modeler who likes to do figures once in a while. How come no manufacturer has ever issued an unpainted cast metal, plastic, or resin Nativity Scene?

Seems like a natural. Think of the possibilities. The figures could be sold individually or in a set. They'd make terrific gifts - either painted or unpainted. The possibilities for buildings and scenery are limitless. Infinite choices for color schemes.

My family has a resin set that we started 15 years ago that's right about 1/35. It was made by a company called Dept. 56, and new figures appeared annually - but it got discontinued some years ago. The proportions and detail are excellent. So are the paint jobs, but if I'd painted them myself we'd have a genuine heirloom.

How about it, manufacturers?

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.

So to add to our desires how about some common figures like civilians (for different decades from peasants to businessmen in suits) some police officers in ANY scale (not swat or tactical but dress uniforms or regular duty) and I hope some manufacturers are reading this, some Star Wars figures!  the 1/35 T-800 figures are awesome, how about the same with some stormtrooper a or new order stormtroopers!  We have enough Wehrmacht and SS figures thank you

Yes, USN Seabees. Include the octogon blocked covers as well as construction hard hats.

Quite some time ago Dragon was toying around with the idea of putting together a series of kits based on various historical periods.  They came out with the "Union Infantry" set and were going to follow with a confederate set that we could preorder at that time.  The retailers were pumping out info that in the planing stages, they were working on a Roman legionnaire set.  Nothing further materialzed after the union infantry.

Masterbox has been releasing the Napoleonic series which are great, ladies of the WWII time period which are also very well done.

ICM has been pumping out figures and equiepment covering the different nationalities durign WW1.

MiniArt has a pretty good series but in 1/16 scale.

I would love for one of the companies to begin a new series of figures (copying current trends 4 foot or two mounted figures) for all the historical periods. Covering the uniforms or cosutmes of these different eras.

Imagine a naval captain of the 1800's, two sailors and possibly a masters mate or similar.  Or 4 figures from the Alamo? Bowie, Travis, Crockett and Evans having a war council. How about an Egyption pharoah, a princess, royal guardsman and some other nobleman chatting.  Maybe a roman signifier with a centurion dressing down two legionnaires. How about something mounted, Washington taearing a strip out of Lee at the Battle of Monmouth.

Endless possiblites.

I would like t see more Cold War figures from late 50's to the 90's both sides. More SEAL and special ops figures.  Leaving 1/35 scale I wish for more 1/72 and1/48 scale naval and pilot figures. Also weapons need better straps and slings.

Oh, and readily available decals for uniform insignia.  All the major nations, all the major eras.  I can't paint shoulder boards to save my life.

I second that, the more decals the better - seems like model companies only history knowledge is 39-45' and current conflicts

How about more relaxed type figures. WW 2 U.S. army with out web gear jacket's open or no jackets shirt sleves rolled up. British  WW2 North Africa same relaxed no web gear sox's rolled down to the boot top instead of pulled up to the knee's like their on parade and some Australian hat's so you can make them look like Australian's troops.
