Just thought I post this on the coat tails of my last one. Being that I live 7 miles from Fort Abraham Lincoln (his last post before that fateful day in Montana) I have always had a fascination with Custer. Being that this is an expensive little bust, I thought a case would be apropriate. Sorry for the picture overload . Hope you Enjoy
Very nice although the case isn't working for you at all, IMO.
I'd say it could take more painting, that'll only make it look more realistic, like the hat.
But it's really sharp and you paint really well, nice clean work.
These things are BIG, huh?
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
Yah i tried out this clear acrylic sealer that said it was a flat coat. Suprise though it wasn't since I was entering it in a project fair I just did a talcum powder and acrylic paint mix to give it a leather look and i guess i never went on to finish the rest (have to do that someday). Thankyou though for the compliments :)
Really nice work, I think you captured Custer very well! I hope you'll post more busts and figures, I love looking at them and we don't get enough here on the site.
I guess I should get off my butt and paint and post more here myself....

Thats a pretty good likeness of Custer.
No bucks, no Buck Rogers
sorry for the late response, thank you for the comment. Intersting enough the man who posed for the bust is a reenactor of Custer Steven Alexander. Him and Andre have worked in the past and he even respresented North Dakota in our Centenial Celbration.
