How is it that you haven't used the "Air Dry" sculpy?? I'm not a big fan of the oven dry stuff, but my kids love it.

The over dry stuff is okay for building a base, but I would think you'd have been using the air dry if you were using styrene instead of the oven dry which works well with a traditional wire frame.

I've seen more than a few examples of entire figures being sculpted from the air dry stuff with amazing results. I still haven't gotten my hands on any though.

Thanks for letting us 'behind the curtain' as it were on how you do your magic! I've tried using Sculpty too but that whole baking it does make it kinda annoying as you can't use it with styrene.

Oh man, I was at that show and saw this one first hand! It was the only thing that I actually took pictures of. Fantastic work!!!

I like the garish colors, which are quite appropriate for this subject. A bombardment of senses, like Mister Toad's Wild Ride - modeled.

Excellent piece!  If you're up this way in May, we'd love to see you bring this to the MFCA show, or in August, to JerseyFest.

Did you sculpt the curtains?  I have a similar piece in the works, a curtained backdrop for an awards ceremony.  I haven't started it yet, but my plan is to use Sculpey.
