Gamera, Your advice was spot on. While I just Had to attempt to use the Cros Delta decals that I had already purchased,& the results were not bad, at all. However, the amount of time spent on Just one fgure could have been better spent painting a dozen or more figures with less stress involved. So, if anyone asks you in the future, Run, don't walk from the concept of puchasing figure decals.Perhaps there is a proper use for these things other than figures [ Oh, that's right, You said that. use as a paint guide ]. After several hours, the result was acceptable, not great, though.Without Microscales Micro set solution,it would have been impossible. I feel like one of P.T. Barnum's carnival customers.Yes, I was the sucker born when these were made. Thanks again, Gamera. keith/ sgtrudz

I know you want to use the decals since you bought them but this came up a few months ago and the general opinion was it would probably be much easier to use the decals as a pattern and paint the camo on. I'm not sure how you'd get the decals to go over the complex curves of the figure and every little wrinkle and fold of the uniform. Wish I had more useful information there.

Tips on how to best apply Marpat camo decals

I recently purchased a couple sets of Cross Delta Digital camo panes of decals for some figures requiring that pattern. While I found some great posts on painting Dig. camo & even found a video on-line of it being applied on ruck sacks, I would love to have one of You folks give advice on methods of preparing the decals on body parts.Arms, legs, torso, vests,You get the gist. I have had great success on painting the standard German WWII various patterns as well as more modern U.S. BDU's and other NATO stuff, but digital camo is a bit of a more concise animal. So I thought I'd try out decals.I've had no luck searching for patterns [ like when sewing a dress as my mom used to use ].I thought that would be a logical approach. While trial & error methods would get me there, they don't exactly give these decal sets away ,so trying to at least get it close on a 1st attempt would be nice. The best thing about traditional camo patterns is their randomness,I don't think that approach is the same as Digital's. Any idease would be greatly appreciated.Thank's, keith R. / Sgtrudz.
