You do have some colour choices with the uniforms, if you want to portray two separate scenes, illustrating the change in the uniform.

Early war they were pike grey, while field grey began to be introduced during the autumn of 1915.  Initially they were cut the same, but soon gave way to simpler stand and fall collar.  Helmets began to make an appearance during the latter half of 1916.  There was also changes to insignia ...

Jack

Yes, their early uniforms were very cool. Maybe not practical but nice to look at. The unit color markings, tassles, cap badges and colored piping gave them a nice style. Didn't help them fight any better however!

I have Alanger and Z|vezda figures which are the same. Looking on Scalemates, these were first done by ICM and they will benifiet by access to Italeri's wider marker and Italeri get some one elseto do the hardwork.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Well you can do like the box art with one set in helmets and the other in caps... and of course swap arms, torsos, etc...

Many of the European model makers do "mold swapping" (for lack of a better term) and box other companies' kits under their labels. I suppose it is for one marketing reason or another. But it is quite common.

I just got my Italeri WW1 Austro Hungarian Infantry and they are exactly the same as the ICM figures. Both sprues even say ICM? WTH man? Different box art is all. Why?
