Haven't really considered a setting for her other than 1942, as this was built for that GB of said year.  Her collar rank is the subdued type that was used up until 1943 when they were done away with and replaced with ranks on shoulder boards.

The photo that inspired this project was of a young woman that possibly was a medical officer in the Sevastopol area.

Oddly enough, there was also a recent movie from 2015 - Battle for Sevastopol, and the female lead has some resemblance?

 Got to say . This is way above my abilities in figures . I did two this year . One still looks like Joe Stalin and the other like a peeved Rommel .  Was she stationed in Riga ? She looks like a Soviet Officer I might've wanted to date .

In those areas that could be reached, I would apply spots of watered down acrylics and dab them with a fingertip.

Scale wise, I think it could work with smaller figures, for replicating staight hair anyways - not sure how to curl this stuff.  The strands are definitely much finer then you normally find on sculpted figures.

Also need some proper glue -  I was using a craft glue that dries glossy and hence darkens the hair colour.  It was suggested to me afterwards to try Mod Podge Matte glue.

Here is also a video of how the hair is built up in strands, but there is also a simpler method some doll makers use where one huge tuft hair is utilized by creating a part down the middle.
