Spaced out?

Master Box is releasing some strang figures, zombies, desert warriors, but now they are out doing themselves with their Spaceport series.  Obviously the bar scene in "Star Wars"

One set consists of a human (humanoid?) lady, in a top hat sitting at the bar; colorfully dressed and wearing a firearm of some kind.  Apparently, the six-legged cat, in the box art, isn't included.

Next set a heavily armed uniformed male figure is caring on a discussion with a four-armed gremlin-like space alien sitting on top of the bar.

Another set consists of a lady holding a very large machine gun.  She is dressed in what looks like a bathing suit and is followed by a low robot.

The fourth set consists of another heavily armed uniformed figure talking with a waitress (android?) who seems more robotic than human.  A robot seems to be attracted to ah her, it, whatever.

Strange as they are these figures could fit into many science fiction dioramas.  Given the fact they are in 1/24th scale, with some modification, they would be perfect for many post-apocalyptic situations as well.

Ohhhhh, thanks for the head's up! I hadn't heard of these till now and just ran over to their site and looked them over. Really cool stuff! I'm going to have to pick up some of them, not sure what I'll use them for but I'll think of something!

If you don't want to use "The Edge of the Universe: Strange Company Adventures" figures, as Master Box calls the figure sets in this series, in a setting long long ago and far far away you could always use the figures in an earthbound post-apocalyptic or future war situation.  The four armed "Joker" figure might a bit out of place unless you want a real bad mutant.  The robots could be used as futuristic military or law enforcement robots and there is no shortage of 1/24th/1/25th vehicle kits.

The "Modeling News" website just did a piece about this series.  The sets are really detailed.

Lol, oh I'm great at coming with ideas- just terrible about getting off my butt and actually building something!!!

Yeah, some of them would be perfect with a 1/24th scale auto modified into some sort of 'Road  Warrior' or Autoduel mode.

I did think about using them with this set as some sort of Japan in the future of 'Blade Runner' dio but the gals are 1/35th. Guess the robots would work as they as they could be larger than human size. Or the gals could even be living dolls like the teddy bear and kaiser from the original BR... Hmmmmmmmmmm...........

If you build them I hope you'll post them, I really want to see what you do with them!
