1/7.5 Bandai Fumina Review/Preview
Posted by Ranger_Chris61 on Friday, February 15, 2019 4:21 PM

This week we take a look at an interesting kit with Bandai's 1/7.5 (my best guess as there is no official published scale for her) Fumina kit.

Very cool Chris! Interesting way they did the shadowing on the kit parts and thanks for explaining it. If I built the kit I'd have to paint her to deal with the sprue gates and sanding the seams and having the pre-painted make-up sounds like a pain.

I checked HLJ and they have an order stop which means they aren't expecting more. In any case the nearly fifty US bucks they want for it is a little rich for me in any case.

A friend came over and built it in an afternoon.  The flesh toning is not all that noticeable.  Bandai did a pretty good job with the big gooey anime eyes, molding them to include the highlighting.  Also, some unavoidable gates for the multi colored integral parts are cleverly hidden by add-on pieces.

Still, something is lacking in her “cuteness”.  Maybe I’m missing something, I don’t know.  I have been told she is a character in something or another, and the kit is a good likeness.
