1/35 hitler figure.

Hi chaps.

I don't normally do figures, but with more and more E-series/ 'what if' kits hitting the streets and my bench, I would like to create a display with the builds lined up and a hitler figure in front of them either in the salute or with his hands clasped in front of him as if posing for the cameras with these big beasts.

Anyone know of such a figure or have any ideas.

Maybe also crews of these vehicles paraded in front of the panzers with Hitler and a bunch of of senior figures inspecting them.

The outfit on this figure would be appropriate for the time period -

Just FYI - I was recently commissioned to paint up a 54mm scale Andrea Miniatures "German Leader", which depicts that individual as he appeared in the '30s, complete with the salute and armband. The buyer's check was no good, so I am stuck with the creepy little b**tard. He makes people very uncomfortable and it's presence in my home has made for some very awkward discussions with guests who have spotted it. If you're going to do it, be prepared to deal with the  conversations which follow...

Probably going to strip the paint off of this and recast the metal into something that doesn't give my mother-in-law fits.

Just thinking out loud but considering the Fuhrer's health issues and his quack doctor I'm not sure he'd even been still alive much longer even if he'd not shot himself. By the time the E series entered service you could probably get away with having Himmler or Goering as the Fuhrer. But I understand that the 'paper-hanging SOB' is more familar with most people than the other two.

Nothing I can say here.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

In actual fact, Hitler was an artist. below is one of his works.

In actual fact, I don't think this is too bad. Now if he had stuck to this....

Favorite quote from "The Producers"

"Hitler could paint an apartment in one afternoon. 2 coats!"

It is possible to put these tanks in an alternate time zone where the war went slightly differently and the E-series did come on line in say, late 1944/early 1945 and Hitler was in better health. A bit like "The man in the High Castle"

Well, given a parade of "paper panzers" would be fantasy, nothing else in the scene is bound by history, so you an include any figures in any state of health you want. You could even have werewolves as crews. (Movies and novels have depeicted the Werewolf Wermacht several times.)

Normally, I won't take a check on a deposit either, but this was one of those "friend of a friend" situations which got out of control quickly. My biggest mistake was not listening to that little voice that warned me to just take a pass on the project.

Comments and thoughts:

If your asking: I myself wouldn't do it,just don't feel the need. Not worth the discussion it would inspire among visitors and friends.

You might say, well what about the SS crewed Tiger Tank I have built. To me it's just different.Just my 2 cents

It's just a plastic/resin/metal figure.  Nothing more, nothing less.

But the peace in the house must be maintained - a friend's wife told him he had to remove his 1/32 Fw-190A from the dining room curio, because "Nothing says Christmas like a Nazi warplane!"

“Ya ya ya, unicorn papoi!”
