I just completed a WW2 1944 GB. Because of the significant work I applied to the figures I hope it is OK to show them here as well....
These are not from the Tamiya kit but are sourced from JeffShiu's Minitures in 1/16 (120mm). They came in multipule pieces. If you ever purchased any of the JeffShiu figures you would see that they are broken apart leaving jagged edges to rejoin. In some cases you might even get them with half of the foot separated, one arm on but the other off along with the hands, heads or half heads, etc.
The figures did not come with ANY instructions for assembly and all four figures pieces were grouped in several bages without identifying what parts went to what figure. Some of the fit was solved with logically aligning the jagged edges as well as the fabric wrinkles. Photos on the web site also helped determine some of the parts locations. Most of the sculpting is done very well with no bubbles or air pockets to say. All of the figures had some rather heavy flash and mold seams in some locations. Once assembled all of them fit into the kubelwagen very well except the driver. For some reason the driver figure must have warped sometime after removing it from the mold and before my arrival. The drivers butt had to be thinned down almost 1/4" and the slot on the left arm that is leaning on the driver door was off by over 1/8". Both of these issues caused the driver to sit too tall and would not allow the steering wheel to fit. After some heavy dremel work, I managed to get him properly seated, the wheel attached, along with his hands around the steering wheel.
I also added photoetch for the Iron Crosses around two of thier necks, belt buckles, and straps or slings (sourced from after-market). The slings and binocular straps were made with lead foil from my spares. The decals are also after-market and represent an SS Panzer unit, to include even collar insignias where applicable.
The figures are painted with a combination of Tamiya, Vallejo, Testors MM, along with watorcolor pencils and pastels. Overall I am happy with the figures and results, but I would only recommend them for people who have experience with resin figures.
