Thats a really cool subject in interesting colors.  Couple suggestions.  Cut the flesh in a little tighter on the eyes to avoid the pop-eye look and perhaps give the figure an overal coat of clear flat to take the sheen out.  Add a wash to the beard/hair.  Otherwise nice shading and the cape is spectacular!

Is the figure shiny or is it the camera? I've taken photos that I swear were matte and the camera adds a shine to them.

Stephen I think that your primary painting of this figure is great. The borders, color transitions and the horizontal lines of the blouse are very good. It's very tight. That's the first hurdle and you got it. I suggest a bit more dry brushing of the highlights. Whatever the base color is go much much more lighter with the dry brushing. More than you think. Make sure the brush is really dry. Like you couldn't imagine it having anything left to give. It will still leave pigment. As for the face. The eyes are too big. I actually think the eyes are molded too big. It's not you but the dark under and over the eyes especially in 75mm is just a black wash. A redish dark would be better. It looks like  you just put a dark wash over the whole face. Get in there and paint the highlights lighter and the low lights darker. Don't count on a wash to do it. I follow Vallejo's face teqniuqes. You can find them on the net of course. I use mostly Vallejo. I'm no expert either but that's my 2cents bud. I have problems with my phone camera taking shiny pictures too. Let's face it. Anything from Medieval times isn't gong to be very shiny. I flat coat most kits when they are complete.
