Tanker Figure For Tamiya M3A1 Stuart Late In Tunisia 1943

Hello all,
Any reccomendations for a period correct tanker figure to accompany the Tamiya M3A1 Stuart Late kit? I'm looking to place the vehicle as depicted in Tunisia, 1943.I know Tamiya figures have come a long way since I started building as a kid, but i'm looking for something verlinden or alpine quality. Any guidance/ideas is appreciated.
Also, does anyone know what happened to the real tank depicted in the kit? Did it make it through the campaign in Africa? I'm interested if any books or web pages show depict this tank in particular.
