1/48th paratroopers
Posted by Justinryan215 on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 11:39 AM

I recieved these guys from a member on here, she didnt need them, but I was able to use them for a what if build I am working on.  They are the US paratroopers from the C47 kit in 1/48th scale.

and I grabbed the Tamiya 1/48th Us Infantry as rest kit to go along with it...  Unfortunately, the scale is off with one of the kits, as Tamiya's 1/48th is smaller than Monogram's.

Well, I guess it will have to be set up in a forced perspective type situation...

"...failure to do anything because someone else can do better makes us rather dull and lazy..."

Mortal as I am,I know that I am born for a day.  But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the Earth...

Great work on painting these figures. I'm working on painting something that is 1/24th thats not that detailed.

My wife thinks I procrastinate. I just put things off till she forgets.

Nice job, Justinryan215. You've got your 'troopers painted for the Operation Market-Garden and Operation Varsity jumps (green M43 jackets and rigger-modified jump pants).

Just a small nitpick, though -- World War II U.S. paratrooper's jump boots were brown, not black.
