Heer combat uniforms
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, March 27, 2003 7:23 PM
I ordered some 1/35 tank rider figures and am wondering what to paint them. The time period is going to be right after the Normandy invasion. Would they all be in feldgrau or would some wear ss pattern fatigues. If you have any tips please tell. Thank you.

Heer dress at this time mostly likely would be the M43 Feldbluse and trousers. There could be earlier variants mixed in.

It`s not very often you would see Heer in Waffen SS Camo.

check out the website for At The Front. They provide uniforms and equipment for re-enactors. I have found them to be a wonderful source of information for equipment, uniforms, and accessories for U.S., German, Japanese, Russian and British. It has photos of their products and sometimes they include various views of the equipment, so you get to see how things look, like how those German gas mask canisters are slung, what they look like opened, harnesses, uniform variants.
They are very proud of their sources, products, and the information they have on uniforms, equipment and their variants.
