Are you talking about the standard Whermacht splinter pattern? Here's a link to my answer, in the form of a basic lesson, on my process in another thread a few pages back.

It speaks to the SS camo pattern question, but my camo painting method is the same for all patterns, regardless of period or nationality. There's always a background color (usually the lightest color in the pattern), a dominant color and a secondary color. Often there is also a forth and even fifth color used to smaller effect. That's pretty much the order I paint them.

I've done some convincing looking pea pattern camo on german uniforms, but no matter what I do I can't get it to look right. Basically I'm having trouble with doing the German camo. Does anyone have any sites or tips/tricks for painting this? Thanks.
