Thanks Guys!  I really enjoyed this one!

"...failure to do anything because someone else can do better makes us rather dull and lazy..."

Mortal as I am,I know that I am born for a day.  But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the Earth...

Very well done. I concur with Gamera on the flesh tones.

A wonderful, evocative piece. Beautifuly captured.

nice work.  I like the dog.  Cool subject

Thank you!  the song starts off "An old Gray man with a dog asleep at his fee, plays a worn out fiddle full of melodies"

I definitely feel I captured that feeling!

That you did....nicely done.

I call this one 'Smokey Mountain Memories'

I found this resin figure kit on etsy, and it reminded me of the song of the same name.  I just completed it after searching for an approriate doggo to match the lyrics of the song.

I used a mix of Vallejo Model Air and vallejo Model colors, mixed with Vallejo Glaze Medium, and washes from Army Painter

The wooden base is made from a solid block of spalted curly maple I processed from a tree my aunt had removed.
