1/12 Bandai Mandolorian
Posted by BrandonK on Sunday, November 27, 2022 10:48 AM

This one was more involved than I thought and deciding to fully paint the kit rather than go with the colored plastic it comes in was good call. I am very happy with it. I have never done any Bandai kits, let along a figure. Next one I do will be slower and I'll pose it up as I build it and fill the joints so it looks just that much better. All in all it's a great kit, fit was perfect throughout with no flash anywhere.

Painted with Vallejo and Alclad.

Very sweet looking build! Outstanding work! Did you use some sort of fabric for the cape, or is that something that came in the box?

That looks great!  I just started this kit over in the "Go Figure" group build.  If mine turns out half as good as yours I'll be satisfied.

The cape is kit supplied.  It is a neat little kit.

Stik, Gamera, the cape is part of the kit. It is kinda weird in that it feels dense and weighted, but it's just cloth. I'm glad you like it, thanks.

Thank you. It is a really good kit. Next one will get the full putty/clay treatment to the joints. That is the only thing about the kit I didn't like is that when done the joints look too thin and need filled in. Otherwise very good kit.

Thanks. Ya, the plastic look just didn't do it for me. This would be a great kit for kids to get them hooked, you can't hardly make it look less than good. And painting is not required.

Brandon,

You got the pose perfect too.  It looks very natural, from all angles.  This IS the way.  Yes
