This was on my list for many moons... it should be cool to build.

I just got this in and in my figure stash.

I remember the old Aurora kit from back in the 60's my uncle had one.

Not something I would build.

I've got the Polar Lightd kit in my stash.  Should be an easy build and you sure don't see many of them on the contest tables.

When I was very young a local hobby store had a completed one (probably the Aurora) on the check out counter. I asked my dad to lift me up to see it. There was a little head in the basket. Scared the cr*p out of me!

Alway fun to get a long-wanted kit, hope you have fun with it.

In the Aurora version at least, you could put the head on with a shallow square peg. When the blade dropped...whooosh!!! (Nothing but net!)

Indifferent

I remember making guillotine from scratch for a school project (likely on French history and years after my hobby shop horror I mentioned above). I used a little plastic figure from a kit, had the head attached with a dab of putty so it was operational.

I probably used an exacto blade in my model. Imagine showing up to school with that today. I'd probably still be in Juvie!

Funny, I built one from balsa for school project as well.  Part of a book report on 'A Tale of Two Cities'

Thanks,

John

How about that?!?!

I'm thinking I used Plastruct or similar on mine and painted it to simulate wood.

Small world.
