Pegasus Great White Shark Model
Posted by sharknuts on Friday, July 21, 2023 1:41 PM

Hello everyone

Here is a Pegasus Great White shark model I built several years ago, and just repainted it. I have shown this model on this website a couple of years ago, therefore some of you have seen this model with the old paint job I did on it.  Anyway, I was never really satisfied with the color schem of my last paint job I did on it, therefore I repainted it to acheive the two tone Gun Metal color results I was looking for!

He's cool  Color looks spot on - they are pretty dark (in many ways ;) ).  Every here from the dude that did the Hammerhead?  He was supposed to do a great white - pinged him a few times but he went dark.

Thanks,

John

Looks great!  I built this kit several years ago and wish that mine look as good as yours.

Nice!  Wish I'd had that to guard the cookie jar when my kids were little.  No way they would have risked trying to get past that.  Big Smile

Hi keavdog

Thanks for your kind words on the painting that went into this Great White Shark model.

It's funny that you mentioned about the guy I bought the Hammerhead from. No I never heard from him. I have to say, this guy was impossible to do business with, because he does not respond to emails!  I asked him about getting the Mako Shark model he was supposed to come out with, but he never replyied back to me.

That guy was probably doing the kits just on the side.  I did pester him a bit and was able to correspond via email, but it looks like he stopped producing kits.  I was able to buy an Archelon sea turtle from him, but that was the last I have heard from the guy.  Too bad, his stuff was pretty awesome.

Oh, and nice great white!  The sheen really gives "Jaws" some life!

Wow that's perfect SharkNuts! Love the painting, both the metallic shade and the outlining looks great! Did you hand-paint him or mask and airbrush?

Hello Gamera

Thanks,  I hand brushed the sides Gun Metal, and on the top airbrushed dark Gun Metal to blend into the lighter Gun Metal.
