lilBear, for the scales, I first painted it an overall dark green, then mixed in some yellow & dry brushed. When that was dry, I drybrushed again, very sparingly, with pure yellow. Touched up any areas where I got overly enthusiastic with the dry brushing. No washes were used. This technique works well if you have a good casting to work with.

David & Zokissima, I like the Vallejo acrylics very much. They are very opague, especially the whites & yellows. Flow well, cover very well, brush marks level out very nicely & dry dead flat. Water thinning & clean up works well. For small figures they are the best available IMHO. I also use them for painting detail in AC cockpits. For larger figures I prefer to work in oils, but have seen some large figures painted with Vallejo that looked great. BTW, they are also sold under the Andrea label. Identical paint with different packaging.

David, would like to oblige but I've got plenty to keep me busy . All those Lizards & Minotaurs & Dragons & Satyrs, etal, just waiting in line !

You mentioned using Vallejo paint. Seems to come up a lot in regards with miniatures. How do you like it compared to other paints?

By the way, if you're looking for more lizardmen to paint, I have 100+ of those little guys waiting to be finished. LOL!

I was wondering! For the lizard's scales. Did you paint the darker colors first! Then drybrush? the yellow highlights! Then do wash over that!! Basically what I'd like to know is what technique did you use for the scales!! It looks fabulous, absolutely fabulous, darling!! Thanks a bunch!! Cheers!!!

Very nice job. At first I thought it had something to do with Lizardmen of Warhammer fame. The paintjob is magnificent. I keep hearing about Vallejo acrylics, but I'm afraid to try them, don't know how well they cover, but it has to be better than Tamiya
