Flight Deck Crew
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, June 28, 2004 11:08 AM
I am preparing to start a diorama based around Acadamy's F/A-18 hornet and am in need of flight deck crew figures. Were might I be able to find them?

Thank you

Depends on the scale. Fujimi makes two decent sets of 1/72 scale flight deck crews (one with crash and smash truck and one with yellow truck). Hasegawa makes a set of USN flight deck crew folks in 1/48 scale. The Fujimi kits run around $11 and the Hasegawa kit is around $12-$15 at the LHS... Hope this helps

Sorry for not specifying the size. I need 1/32 or 1/35. I heard of PWMP or something but I cannot find any places that sell their stuff online.

Thanks

I wish that I could provide more assistance, but I think that it will be an arduous task to locate 1/32 flight deck personnel. I know that Tamiya includes one or two figures, in addition to the pilots, in the F-14 and F-15E kits, but I have not seen any others released in plastic. Verlinden used to have a few figures in this scale, but to the best of my recollection they were mostly pilots, but it has been a while since I saw a complete listing of their 1/32 (or 54mm) line so that may be a place to start. Good luck in your search.
