LOL!

I shoulda known I'd bump into you here! Lead foil's a good idea . . . could probably emboss it from the rear to represent bartacking. Think I have some in the parts box, if not I'll buy a nice bottle of wine.

It'll be a lot easier to build now that I have the real item on hand for reference.

Hey man, good to see you here. I make slings, PALS webbing, and other items like that out of heavy lead foil. It will take a nice natural shape and it's cheap. Most well stocked hobby stores should carry it. I'd like to see your scale RAID when you finish it.

Anybody have any bright ideas on how to model PALS webbing? I have a 12"/1' scale RAID pack (a new-school modular assault pack from Lightfighter Tactical) and I'd like to make a 1/35 version. I don't have a good grasp on how to replicate 1" PALS webbing . . . styrene strips? Epoxy putty? Paper? I'd like to use my model as a master for resin copies, so it needs to be pretty durable.
