A wash of some water and dish detergent, follwed with a good rinse should do fine.
Prime your resin before painting with whatever you feel comfortable painting on. Some use a light grey, some a white.

Once cleaned try not to touch the surface with bare hands as they can leave oils on the cleaned surface.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.

Prior to cleaning Resin Heads I normally skewer them on a metal rod or similar, this allows nice handling from washing, priming to painting.

You can either cut the rod off prior to gluing the head on or drill a hole in the bodies neck, shorten the rod and attach the head that way.
