Anybody build this kit?

I'm considering getting this one, but I like the look of all the Tamiya figures. I love their armor and cars, and was curious to see if y'all thought the detail and accuracy was as good on their figures, specifically this one.

While I havent built this kit specifically,I have built another 1/16th Tamiya figure.the elite German infantryman, the quality is standard Tamiya....good casting and good fit, detail was on par with the verlinden figures of the same scale, excellent.I cannot imagine that Tamiya would have done less on this one! The Kit from what I hear is good, but has some inaccuracies I think it was the chem-suit or similar. I think it can also be assembled in a selection of poses and alternate gear.

You are correct. The chem suit is closer to the older, not worn in OIF, MOPP suit as opposed to the current J-LIST suit. Particularly, the figure has elastic gathers on the sleeve cuffs. The J-LIST suit has velcro closures that tighten up the cuff. Also, there is no hood molded onto the suit, J-LIST has an integral hood that does not come off, should be there.

Other than above, pretty good. The suit inaccuracies can be corrected with some plastic strip, putty and filing.

Good luck.
