hey gdarwin, I got the new modern US marines from dragon/dml to go with my lav in a OIF dio. They work great and go together easily. I had to buy two boxes cause the lav has room for six and i just switched the arms around to get two more different figs.

ya I got the same lav from revell germany in 1/35 with an eduard pe set for the italeri lav. They're the same kit so it works. The dml kit # is 3027 Modern U.S. Marines. Its part of the world's elite forces series. Happy modeling!!!

Nope, not building the LAV-25. I did build the LAV-AD (Air Defense) from Italeri, which is based on the same kit hull with a different turret, many, many moons ago. It was a pretty good kit, nice, fine detail.

I do have a few of the sets of DML Modern Marines though. As a further option, you can mix the IBA torsos with the older ODS era DML figures to get all sorts of poses and positions for multiple figures.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Check here at Great Models Webstore. Look for the ones with a blue circle and white star next to them, US sets. http://www.greatmodels.com/cgi/search.cgi?termscat=DML/Dragon_Models+Figures

Basically any of the modern DML sets are actually Operation Desert Storm to mid '90s gear and equipment. The only set with truly modern stuff from OIF is the Modern Marines set mentioned above. The DML sets usually go for about $6-$8 each for 4 figures.
