Help Finding Figures
Posted by kielers on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 3:57 AM
Any ideas where I can find 1/48 scale WWII carrier deck crew and fighter pilot figures besides from Verlinden? I like their carrier deck crew set, kind of, but not their pilots.

Internet sites are the best for me because I live in Germany and in an area not close to any hobby shops.

Your assistance is very much appreciated

Fujimi makes 2 sets of carrier crew & equipment in 1/72 & 1/48, they seem to come and go.

Not sure if the Hasegawa sets got the pilots you are after.

Hasegawa does make a USN crew/pilot set, but it's modern.

Search www.greatmodels.com or www.squardron.com Both list several 1/48 figures.

Here's another site too - http://www.phpshopxml.com/quakit.shop/CID/50d385b6d9d2863c9feab93eef88ee81/function/itemSearchResultPageDisplay/shopSearchType/familySubFamilyCode/shopSearchData/FIGURINES%7C2 They have a large selection of 1/48 figures.

Buy the Monogram TBD. The Monogram SBD has some deck crew as well, but they aren't very good.
